Guest: Jordan Raynor
Do you feel overwhelmed by your never ending to-do list? On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton and his guest, author Jordan Raynor, discuss Jordan’s book, Redeeming Your Time: 7 Biblical Principles for Being Purposeful, Present, and Wildly Productive. Redeeming Your Time examines how Jesus managed His time wisely while He was on earth. With a priority on communing with God the Father in solitude and getting sufficient rest, our Savior was busy without being rushed. We are called to redeem our time because Christ redeemed us.
Because of our digital devices and non-stop news services, we are living in a world full of noise. For Jordan Raynor, his main concern is what all that external noise will create and how it will affect our internal noise and how we think, create, and communicate with the Lord. On today’s edition of Family Talk, the author of Redeeming Your Time urges Christians to refuse to fill every crevice of their day with noise. As believers, we are appointed to remain present with people and with the work to which He has called us. Ephesians 5:15-16 says, “Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
